Hunt Valley, Maryland

 

New 160,000 sq.ft. office building and conference center with indoor garage levels is situated on a forested natural landscape.  Features include a convertible 150-seat cafeteria & 200-seat meeting room and a three-story lobby with 18-foot diameter stained glass dome.  Structure consists of composite floor system with a spread footing foundation.

US Geological Survey Office Building

Catonsville, Maryland

 

New 23,500 sq.ft. one story building housing offices, laboratories and conference spaces for the U.S. Geological Service. The structure is a steel frame consisting of bar joists and joist girders moment connected to the steel columns to serve as both the gravity and lateral load resisting systems. The exterior walls are comprised of brick masonry veneer and cold-formed steel studs. The building is supporting by a spread footing foundation.            

 

Cost: $3.6 million

UMBC Research Park, Building Two

Catonsville, Maryland

 

A four story building of 110,000 sq.ft. containing offices for research and technology community. It consists of cold form framing with steel frames for lateral support and is on concrete foundations.

Cowan Systems Headquarters

Baltimore, Maryland

 

A new 30,000 sq.ft. two-story office building.  The structure is steel framed with knee brace frames for lateral stability and spread footing foundations.
